Do you need a Therapist?

If you are looking for a therapist you have most likely arrived at a cross roads. You know things need to change but aren't sure how to make that happen. You have probably tried making some changes but things have continued to worsen and you are starting to worry that it may not get better. Getting to this point in life is scary. However, this fear that you are experiencing is actually a strength. It is the motivation you need to get out of the cycle you are in. It is what brought you to my website. Without this fear you may not reach your fullest potential. Your fear is your ticket out of the cycle you are in.

Clinical Therapists, Registered Clinical Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Counselling Psychologists (I have no idea why we have so many different titles- it will be another blog post) are trained and certified experts (with more than 6 years of education) in exploring and healing mental health. Just as a medical doctor is trained to help heal the body we are trained to support the healing of the mind. If you had a sore stomach you would maybe eat some simple foods, get some extra rest and pop some antacids but if it persisted over a week you'd probably call your doctor. If you have struggled to manage your overwhelming thoughts and feelings for more than a couple weeks it's time to outsource. We are trained to support you in your journey to finding the peace you are looking for. Einstein said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you are stuck take a chance on something new.
